“As part of my U.S. student exchange program during the 2007–8 school year, I was placed in Warwick, Rhode Island. This was the best thing that could have happened to me, as my host dad was incredibly welcoming and became a great friend who I still regularly visit to this day. My great exchange student experience influenced me so much that I returned to the U.S. to study abroad during my university years. Today I work as a research analyst for a well-established German real estate fund manager with operations in the U.S. and Europe, among others.”
