NorthWest Student Exchange is currently seeking Academic Coordinators nationwide to place and supervise foreign exchange students for academic year and semester, as well as summer programs.

Academic Coordinators are pleasant, motivated and student-oriented people, responsible for finding and screening potential host families and matching students with the families they will live in for the duration of their program.

Academic Coordinators should expect to check on their students monthly, conduct local orientations upon the arrival of their students and communicate regularly with the NWSE-Seattle office regarding each student they supervise. Academic Coordinators help mediate difficulties that might arise in the context of the exchange.

Academic Coordinators are a key part of our organization, as they provide care and support to high-school aged foreign students and act as liaisons between NWSE-Seattle and their local community. Successful Academic Coordinators are active in their communities and interested foreign cultures, working with teenagers, and meeting people. The position requires monthly calls to students and host families to ensure that all participants are having a positive experience.

Academic Coordinators can learn much about life and customs in other countries by working with exchange students, and can make friends that last a lifetime. Academic Coordinators receive training and compensation for their placement and supervision responsibilities.

Please register with us online to request an application packet and make sure to call or email us if you have any further questions. Our toll free phone number is
