Requirements:
1) You must have Acrobat Reader installed on your computer. If you do not have Acrobat
Reader installed, please click here and follow the instructions.
2) Javascript must be enabled on your browser (this is a default setting for most browsers).


IMPORTANT:
Your NWSE application consists of two parts:
1) The Online Application, which you complete on our website.
2) The Paper Application, which you need to print out and complete on paper. It includes
medical reports, recommendations, and other forms.


STEP 1: Create a user name and password for your NWSE Online Application system.
Please create your user name and password by clicking on "Start new Application" at the bottom of this page. This will take you to the Online Application. Please be aware that NWSE will not review your application until after you have submitted ALL required application materials, including your Paper Application.

STEP 2: Complete your Online Application.
In the Online Application, you provide basic information about yourself, your family, and the exchange you would like to participate in. You will also be asked to submit a letter to your future host family and an essay about your motivations and goals for participating in a student exchange. You may edit, save a draft, and come back to your online application as often as you like before you submit it to NWSE.

STEP 3: Download your Online Application.
After you have finalized and submitted your Online Application, you must download it and save the PDF file to your computer.

STEP 4: Download and print the Paper Application.
This part of the NWSE application cannot be submitted online because it requires information and original signatures from your doctor, parents, teachers, and others. The Paper Application includes information about the program and application, a medical report, recommendations, and other forms. Please download and print out the Paper Application after you have completed your Online Application.

STEP 5: Complete your Paper Application.
Please carefully read the instructions and all information in the Paper Application. Use the Application Checklist on page 2 to make sure your application is complete.

STEP 6: Email a scanned copy of your complete application packet to NWSE.
Please mail your recommendation letters in their sealed envelopes to our partner organization or to the NWSE Seattle office. You do not need to scan and e-mail them. All other pages of your Paper Application, and all supporting documents (e.g., school reports and copies of your immunization booklet) should be scanned and sent by email, along with your application photos.
